Tenuta Ugolini, Veneto, Italy

An oenological project pursued and perfected with perseverance and passion that started in 2006. The wines of Tenuta Ugolini are the result of a respectful and careful approach in the management of the vineyard and the cellar. A few bottles are produced for each wine, all of which are characterized by a particular finesse, complexity and elegance. Each wine, each harvest, conveys new emotions.
The Ugolini Valpolicella wines trace a path of excellence and are the most authentic expression of the territory. All Ugolini wines come from historic vineyards and each wine is the unique expression of a vineyard, the exceptional voice of a single plot to bring out the personality, the terroir, the identity of the place where the vineyard dwells: the synthesis between the maximum expression of native grape varieties and of every single parcel.
The Ugolini brand boasts a pure Valpolicella style, unparalleled and revolutionary, due to its complexity of taste, finesse and ageing capacity. Our aim is to be recognizable year after year, following the vocation of each plot. A concept of uncompromising quality.

Tenute Ugolini, Valpolicella "Mora"

A product that combines two different Valpolicella winemaking techniques: freshness and drying. The Superiore wine obtained is “passed over” on the Amarone pomace where, thanks to the second refermentation, it is enriched with new aromas adding a new body. Finally, the refinement in French oak barrels is short and does not exceed one year, specifically with the intention of giving it its maximum expression, making it the true protagonist on every occasion.

Tenute Ugolini, Valpolicella Ripasso "Mora" 2018

From the Valpolicella appellation where Amarone is made. In fact, just like the Valpolicella Classico, a Valpolicella Ripasso is made from the same varietals as an Amarone. It actually can be said to come in between both of these wines as whereas the grapes of a Valpolicella Classico are just fermented normally while an Amarone is fermented from grapes that have been dried in the sun, a Ripasso's fermenting juice has seen the addition of the residual pressed dried grapes of Amarone thrown into the mix. Wait until you taste the result!
