Maidenstoen, Central Coast, California

“Vineyard is not summed up by where things land on a map, but what is inside each vineyard. Soils and micro-climates are essential to how we define terroir. Great sites combine soil composition and structure, ocean influence and exposures all to create the gestalt that we try to capture in the personality of each wine. Our goal is to produce delicious wines that embrace this holistic approach.”

-Mike Callahan

Maidenstoen is a small production of wines that come from exceptional vineyards. Our interpretation of these sites focuses on clean winemaking and purity of expression with minimal inputs.

93 Points Wine Enthusiast “From vines grown on a steep, east-facing slope, this bottling begins with aromas of Key lime peel, caviar-lime flesh, green-fleshed kiwi and even some lychee on the nose. There's a great sizzle of acidity to the sip as well as a compelling grip, framing seashore-like flavors of fresh kelp, green citrus peels and cut grass” — Matt Kettmann
