Domaine des Mazelles, Touraine Chenonceaux 2021

Sauvignon Blanc

Loire Valley, France

Everyone loves a good Sancerre, but it's hard to find a good bottle for under $30. Touraine, a sub-region of the Loire near Sancerre also makes great Sauvignon Blanc but at a much more affordable price.

Recognition in the Touraine Chenonceaux appellation has become essential after several years of rigorous work in selecting the best terroirs and the cuvées that come from them, led by this wine.

Flint is strong in this wine, along with notes of bright grapefruit and citrus. The palate has a nice zippy acidity, but manages to have a creamy mouthfeel as well.
