Contreras Ruiz, Condado de Huelva, Spain

We are a family winery, producing quality wines focused on our native Zalema variety, cultivating vineyards near the sea and working exclusively with our own grapes.

Located next to Doñana National Park, one of Spain's greatest natural treasures.

We strive to express the landscape and origin of our soils in wines with an Atlantic personality and saline essence.

Climate and Soil

Contreras Ruiz is located in the Condado de Huelva region. To the south and east, it borders Doñana National Park, a pristine wilderness that stretches to the Atlantic.

The Vineyard

We are deeply committed to quality and the environment around us. We inherit land located near Doñana National Park, and as such, we sustainably manage our fields.

The Winery

It was built in 1868 and has five naves separated by 30-meter-high arches and wrought iron ceilings typical of the south of the Peninsula.

Contreras Ruiz - Condado de Huelva, Lume Brut

Lumé Brut

Traditional Method Sparkling Wine * Zalema

Lumé is light. Light is life, joy to share, to celebrate.
The Atlantic, Doñana, emotions... Lumé.

Elaboration

Following the classic Champagne method, we aged it in the bottle for 18 months to integrate the bubbles, thus releasing an elegant and delicate touch accompanied by pastry aromas, without losing the freshness that gives this brut its personality.

Pairing and Service

A perfect accompaniment to an entire meal, we can start with appetizers and continue with it through dessert. Ideal with fish, seafood, or even foie gras or cured meats like Iberian ham, it's a great companion to rice dishes or white meats. The complexity of this sparkling wine makes it suitable for numerous occasions and a wide variety of delicacies.

Sensory analysis

VIEW

New gold reflections, with fine, integrated bubbles.

NOSE

Saline character, youthful at first, with orange blossom, apple, and quince compote. Blended with subtle aging aromas, such as toasted nuts and pastries, contributed during the months in the bottle.

MOUTH

Very fresh on the palate, silky, serious yet youthful. Notes of freshness, citrus, and pronounced acidity that are balanced by the alcohol and the aging sensations reminiscent of artisan pastries.
