Hans Baer, Rheinhessenstr, Germany
Originally found on the flag of Germany´s capital Berlin, the Bear is one of Germany´s most famous symbols, perhaps the most famous. Starting in his home town Berlin, our Hans Baer is travelling the world on his trendy bike bringing his treasured wines from Rheinhessen to a new generation of eager wine enthusiasts.
Rheinhessen is not only Germany´s largest wine growing region, but also the most diverse. A wide range of soils, growing conditions and winemakers make this region truly unique. We are experiencing a renaissance in the winemaking tradition led by a new generation of enthusiastic, young winemakers who respect the traditions of the region, but are also not afraid to venture into new territory. This is the reason why we can see many similarities with Hans Baer´s hometown, our Capital Berlin, and the thriving wine region Rheinhessen.
Hans Baer, Gewurztraminer
Yellow with golden reflections.
Fragrant and fruity, with a very harmonious bouquet.
Pleasantly fruity, smells of rose blossoms with a subtle spiciness.
A great companion to game pâté, poultry with aromatic sauces, spicy aromatic ragouts and strong cheese.
Hans Baer, Riesling Trocken
DRY
Bright gold with light green reflexes.
Young and fresh with distinct fruity aromas of white peach, mirabelle and notes of lime and fresh kiwi.
Smooth on the palate with fruit aromas of white peach and yellow apple. Fresh and balanced with a hint of residual sweetness. The typical Riesling minerality enhances the depth of the wine.
A wonderful aperitif, but also goes very well with seafood, for example shellfish and fish
