Domaine Le Garrigon - Rhone, Cotes du Rhone

Domaine Le Garrigon, Cotes-du-Rhone Rouge, Southern Rhone, France 2022 {organic} 50% Grenache, 30% Syrah, 20% Carignan

Why are the wines of Domaine Le Garrigon Cotes du Rhone so enchanting? Perhaps it's the blend of grapes: the spiciness of Syrah, the peppery Grenache, and the licorice of Carignan. Or maybe it's the fact that Daniel Couston and his family have cultivated their vineyards organically with care since 1997.

The Garrigon Cotes du Rhone is a purple colored wine with alluring aromas of black currant and violets. This juicy red has tender tannins and fresh acidity that make it perfect for mild cheeses, grilled meats and vegetables, tomato-based sauces and Indian food.

SMOKY BERRIES, GARRIGUE & BLACK TEA
From organic winegrower Daniel Couston comes this youthful and classically-styled Rhone red with dark berry flavors, lightly smoky black tea, and loads of the estate’s namesake garrigues (aromas of wild thyme, rosemary, lavender, and anise that permeates the air in southern France). This is highly recommended, and a stunning value for the laundry list of great attributes that it has.

Serving Suggestion: Flavorful grilled foods including red meats or mushrooms, eggplants and fingerling potatoes for our vegetarian friends.
